Adam P. Salina, principal with Kozak & Salina, LLC, has spent the last 15 years developing successful, productive working relationships with federal, state, municipal and business leaders. He is recognized for formulating strategic approaches that incorporate lobbying, public affairs and personal contacts to accomplish client objectives.

Before joining Kozak & Salina, LLC, Adam served as manager of business development and government affairs at Data-Mail, Inc., where he cultivated new client relationships, managed projects and tracked legislation that affected the direct mail industry.

Adam began his career in public service as a personal assistant, then district aide to Congressman John B. Larson. At the age of 28, Adam became one of the youngest mayors elected in Connecticut history when he ran for public office in Berlin. During his decade of service as Mayor (2003-2013), Adam led the resurgence in Berlin’s economic development by attracting new business to the town and working closely with state officials to secure grants and track legislation that had an impact on his community.

During the 2010 “Malloy for Governor” campaign, Adam played an instrumental role in enlisting support and encouraging dialogue between the campaign and mayors and first selectmen from across the state. Following the election, Governor Dannel Malloy appointed Adam to serve on his gubernatorial transition team as a member of the personnel committee. Adam played a key role in the development of the new Malloy administration.

A graduate of Stanford University with a B.A. in psychology, Adam began his career with the National Football League in 1997 and 1998 as a free agent fullback with the Green Bay Packers, Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers. Adam is a prior recipient of the Hartford Business Journal's “40 Under Forty” and serves as a corporator for various organizations such as The Hospital of Central Connecticut, Boys & Girls Club of New Britain, and the YMCA of New Britain-Berlin.
